BreathTone™ Wellness, Together We Breathe – Breast Cancer Community Workshop

A supportive community workshop offering restorative breath and imagery practices for patients, survivors, families, and caretakers.

Breast cancer is not just a statistic to me, it is deeply personal. My mother, my aunt, and several dear friends’ mothers have faced this disease with extraordinary courage. Walking alongside them opened my eyes to both the physical and emotional weight that cancer carries — the fear, the pain, and the uncertainty of each new day. It also inspired me to create something meaningful: a safe, gentle space where women can find calm, strength, and support through the simple but powerful act of breathing.

That is why I developed BreathTone: Healing Breath for Breast Cancer.  This workshop is not a one-size-fits-all wellness class — it is a custom workshop built from the BreathTone model, intentionally adapted for this much-needed cause. The practices were specifically chosen to support both those currently in treatment and survivors who continue to navigate life after breast cancer. This two-hour experience combines five carefully designed breath sequences with four guided imagery sessions, all focused on calming the nervous system, easing pain, and restoring a sense of peace.

The impact of breathwork and guided imagery in cancer care is remarkable:

Up to 60% of women undergoing treatment experience significant anxiety.

Slow, intentional breathing can lower stress hormones and heart rate within just minutes.

Research shows breathwork improves sleep quality, reduces fatigue, and helps patients better cope with treatment-related stress.

Guided imagery has been proven to reduce perceived pain and enhance overall quality of life.

Importantly, the need for support does not end when treatment does. Survivors often continue to face fear, physical tension, or emotional weight even years after recovery. This workshop is designed not only for women currently undergoing treatment, but also for survivors, friends, and family members who have walked the cancer journey alongside their loved ones.

It is also a safe, restorative space for caretakers of breast cancer patients — those who carry so much of the stress and worry themselves. The practices shared in this workshop give caretakers simple, sustainable tools for their own resilience and healing.

This workshop honors all of these realities with compassion and care. It is not about pushing harder or doing more, it’s about creating a sanctuary where participants can breathe through fear, reclaim moments of peace, and carry simple practices into everyday life.

If you or your organization serve women living with or beyond breast cancer, along with the friends, family, and caretakers who stand beside them, I would love to share more about this program and how it may offer comfort and support during such a difficult journey.
